Our Achievements

The prestigious ‌ "United Nations Public Service Award-2020" was won by the Ministry of Land of Bangladesh. The Ministry of Land received the award in the category of "Development of Transparent and Accountable Government Institutions" in recognition of the implementation of the 'e-mutation' initiative. In a letter to the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh, the UN Under-Secretary-General noted, "The Ministry's outstanding achievements in public service are a testament to my excellence. . "

Reacting to the award-winning letter, Ambassador Fatima said, "Such success of Bangladesh in the international arena is the result of the far-sighted initiative of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a 'Digital Bangladesh'."

The Permanent Representative of Bangladesh congratulated the Ministry of Land for this outstanding achievement.

To celebrate the quality and excellence of services rendered to the local, national and global communities, the United Nations General Assembly, through Resolution 57/28, declared June 23 as "United Nations Public Service Day". Every year on June 23, United Nations Day is celebrated with due formality. At this time, various innovative initiatives taken in the public sector around the world were recognized through awards.

The United Nations has postponed this year's Public Service Awards in the wake of the global outbreak of Covid-19. However, the UN has adopted a plan to highlight the issue of the award through various social media campaigns.
