1.2. Condition of office building:
Upazila land office with 4 rooms is located on the 3rd floor of Mujibnagar Upazila Parishad building. Out of the total 4 rooms in this office, 1 room is being used as record room. The recordroom is being stored randomly. Disposed documents are being kept in the record room.
1.3. Inspection of previous month by Assistant Commissioner (Land):
The Assistant Commissioner (Land) has visited 01 (one) Union Land Offices in the previous month.
1.4. Using digital methods:
This upazila land office has 03 desktops and 05 laptops and 03 desktops and 05 laptops are in operation. There are 04 printers, there are 02 scanners. Private broadband connection has been established as a backup with government connection for internet facility. Union Land Assistant Officer / Union Land Deputy Assistant Officer has computer knowledge.
(B) Registers
2.1 Attendance register and casual leave:
Attendance register is being used in the prescribed form with certification on 02/11/2020 AD and page number is given in the attendance register. It is being regularly signed by the employees and is being countersigned by the officers. It has updated the leave account of the employees. Employees are mentioning arrival and departure times in the attendance register.
2.2. Register No. 1 (R&R):
The total number of mouzas in this upazila is 30. This office has 160 volumes for 30 mouzas. Of these, SA volume is 36 and R, S volume is 143. Out of 160 volumes, 160 are good and 10 volumes are torn. R&Rs are being carefully preserved. There are 01 registers for mouza map. Out of 30 mouzas, there are 20 mouzas maps and 10 mouzas do not have maps.
2.3. Register No. 4 (Cash Book Register):
Register No. 4 in the prescribed form last 01/06/2020 AD. Used with certification on date. Last 28/10/2020 AD. Written up to date. The cash book has the proper signature of the Assistant Commissioner (Land).
2.4. Register No. 6 (Sairat Register):
Sairat register with certification is being used on 08/08/2000 AD. Review of the register shows that there are 02 water mahals above 20 acres and 01 water mahal below 20 acres in this upazila.
According to the register, there are 11 hat bazaars. Among them, 10 and 01 hats are running. Proposals have been sent for declaring them extinct. Out of the existing hat bazaars, 10 haats have been leased in Bangla 1428. All the information of all the hat bazaars and water mahals of this upazila have been recorded and updated in the register no. There are 03 water mahals in this upazila. The lease has been issued from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Meherpur as the water mahal named Dandpur is more than 20 acres out of 03 water mahals and the water mahal named Padmabil is less than 20 acres. Has been done and Swaraswati Jalmahal has been declared open for public use.
2.5. Register No. 6 (Miscellaneous Recovery Register):
25/03/2019 The register is being used with certification on the date. Register review shows that the latest 21/01/2021 AD. 59,800 / - has been collected for DCR fee on the date. The money collected has been deposited in the government treasury.
Comment: The register has been updated with the proper signature of the Assistant Commissioner (Land). The money deposited in the bank has been included in the cash book.
2.6. Register No. 6 (Khas Land Register):
The register is being used with certification dated 01/01/2000 AD. According to the register, the amount of agricultural khas land in this upazila is 111.08 acres and the amount of non-agricultural khas land is 316.06 acres. The amount of manageable agricultural khas land is 30.2728 acres.
2.6. Register No. 9 (Name Register):
Namjari 1st volume register with certification on 10/03/2020 AD is being used. A review of the register shows that there is continuity in the settlement of Namjari lawsuits. The review shows that 1019 lawsuits have been filed till the date of inspection in the fiscal year 2020-2021 and there are no pending cases from the fiscal year 2019-20. In that case, the total number of registered cases in the fiscal year 2020-2021 is 1019. 858 have been disposed of till date of inspection. There are currently 161 lawsuits pending.
2.9. Register No. 12 (Register of Khas Land Settlement):
The register with certification is being used on 22/01/2018 AD.
2.10. Register No. 18 (Invoice Register):
The register with certification is being used on 01/07/2018 AD. Invoices In the fiscal year 2020-2021, till December / 2020, the land development tax was collected and the money collected was deposited in the government treasury.
2.11. Register No. 26 (Inspection Register):
A register bound on white paper is being used as an inspection register. The register has been certified on 11/08/2018 AD. According to the register, the last time Tushar Kumar Pal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) visited Meherpur on 11.01.2021.
